When I was searching over the news about Klang road congestion problem. I found this news. 18 months is quite a long time. Excerpt from theStar.com.my KLANG motorists will have to bear with massive traffic jams for the next 18 months as a 600m stretch of a major road in the royal town is being closed to facilitate upgrading work.
The project involving a section of the major road leading into the town centre is to ease major traffic congestion.
According to Sungai Penang state assemblyman and State Assembly Speaker Teng Chang Khim, the closure involves the stretch from Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim (near RHB Bank) to the Kota Bridge (near Mydin). Cause of traffic congestion: Road works being carried out near the Kota Bridge in Klang.
