Thanks Kimmy for the question.

Let me quote you a simple example.
Let's say you have been keeping a sum of money in Fixed Deposit (FD) or perhaps EPF and on an annual basis you gain 4% interest from FD or EPF.

So, if you would to invest your money in unit trust , it will generate much higher return to at least 8%-10% per annum.
So, if you are looking to invest on long term basis ( at least 3-5 years), this would be a beneficial vehicle.

But, before you purchase your funds, choose your agent based on how they manage your funds. I am saying this because before i came into this industry, i was an investor myself ( meaning i purchase from the agents in the market) and from there i realize that different agent (depending of the agency they belong to) have different strategy and that difference will affect how much return you will get on your investment .

Some agents only sell you the fund to increase sales and what happens to your fund after that is your own problem. While some agent monitor your funds and ensure that when market is down or when indicator shows market may move downward, they will immediately switch your funds in order to ensure your loses are minimised/avoided.

Dear Zidano,
Im sure you understand that investing in fund requires at least 3-5 years . Slow doesnt mean it do not grow, most importantly it grow at steady rate that minimised your losses .

One of the point is that the agent you manage your fund should know if you are not satisfied with the growth and switch it to funds that will be able to generate your expected return.

switch fund or buy new units all need to pay fees and also annual admin charges, won't that will lower down your ROI?

Hi KurauKing

I wouldn't encourage short term as i believe this is a medium to long term investment between 3-5 years.

I would say at least in 3 years you will realize that you gain compounding returns from this investment compared to if you were to keep your money in FD or EPF.

Minimum per year you will gain at least 8%, maximum gain is very hard to say. As i have once previously for my personal investment gain 14% per year in my first year and by my 3rd year my accumulated return was about 60%. This was also the turning point where i had decided to came into this industry to learn how to manage my funds and to help others to manage theirs.
