RE: sound proofing for my car
hmmm.. the material i used is for poor people like me....
instead of using dynamat.. i used bitumen strip sold in hardware shops.. normally to repair roof one.. tat will actually reduce the vibration ...
1 roll of bitumen strip is around 1+kg... so far.. i have used up 6-7 rolls..
for add on.. i used superlon/insulflex to absorb noise.. if u r a serious about in car entertainment (ICE)... if u installed superlon at the rear boot where u keep ur sub.. it may also absorb the sound from the sub.. thus, abit boom boom loss...
other than that.. errm.. nothing much kua... i can say it is more satisfying DIY, when the result is felt (or heard)... d**n stim one..

Taking photos, yes... Being taken, nooo :P

wah.....DIY ah..then how long it tooks you to installed into your car? what type of glue you use to stick it on your car? I heard that if the glue react with your paint later on, it will spoil your paint and the surface.

Please do share it out.

RE: sound proofing for my car
yes, bhorng .. you have to specifically use Dunlop CA glue.. else the glue will rust the metal like typical proton disease...
basically, i DIY one at a time.. not rushing my jobs but rather when i am free.. done all within a few months.. cos soundproofing jobs will take half a day easily...

RE: sound proofing for my car
Another way of sound proofing... wear a MP3 player... blast it loud loud in your ear.. then u will hear a single thing except for the songs! hehehehe... cost less than RM100 for any cheap china brand.

RE: sound proofing for my car
Aircraft, I would recommend to go to workshops (I don't know any) to do it. I mean, DIY is good, but you may also risk damaging the car unnecessary. Think before you do.
If u modify bicycle I understand lar...

but with a car, very expensive to get a 2nd hand one if u spoils it.
