Selangor exco may get Toyota Camry


SHAH ALAM: The Selangor go~ment is now hinting that it may choose the Toyota Camry as the official cars for its state executive councillors.

State executive councillor for Local go~ment, Studies and Research Ronnie Liu said the choice was appropriate as the price of the car was reasonable and maintenance cost not high.

“Personally, I feel the Toyota Camry is the best choice and have made the suggestion to the Mentri Besar (Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim).

“However, he has not made a decision. But I feel there won’t be any objection as the Toyota Camry is much cheaper than the Mercedes,” he told reporters here yesterday. – Bernama


hmmm.... i thought when they first came into power, the Pakatan Rakyat go~ment said there would be no new cars for exco's. They will only drive the existing go~ment cars or their personal cars.

Principle is still principle, even though Camry is cheaper than Merc. I vote for Pakatan Rakyat thinking that there could be different than BN, but now I some sort of losing some streaks on them..... maybe we need a third strong voice here...

dun know why recently alot of people have intention to change their car.

I thought economic is no good, everything price up and living is under pressure with smaller buying power.

BUT can still afford to change car...Apa lah..

I think it's crap that EXCO needs a Mercedes to go around. You see... this another good example of our go~ment showing the way to reduce cost.

If go~ment care about rakyat, perhaps all states EXCO can just use their own bloody car. What's wrong with cutting go~ment spending? Cakap banyak, tapi action is spend spend spend... coz it's not their money mah... rakyat's money.

And second, why even Camry? If go~ment are serious, ALL MP SHOULD DRIVE PROTON. Show to Rakyat that PROTON car is reliable. Cakap reliable but even MP is not convince. Might as well scrap or sell PROTON all together. Better still, rebrand it as POTONG!

Before buying , just need a lots of supportive statement only ma.

Show your intention with supportive documents, it would be better if others MP also say the same as you.

aiyoh...y so susah....juz buy from Custom Dept lor....they confiscated so many luxury cars every year....can sell cheap cheap to state gomen for < RM50K.
