MyKlang 2009 CNY Siu Kang Chew (Year End Dinner)

What a wonderful experience we had last night at perlama restaurant with the group of pioneers and jokers at siew kang chiew,2009.I brought along my daughter hui yin and son zhi hang.

This is the first time I join e-space to celebrate the up coming CNY after joining as member very recently.

Three of us enjoyed the company of the pioneers to name a few ,oldman,borninklang,incredible ,bobo ,gneleey etc ,thanks to the invitation of the founder kimmi siah. Though first time meeting ,the rest ,I appreciate the hospitality and the chit chat.Thanks everybody and especially the "cameramen"members who worked very hard to snap good pictures of the gathering .Wishing everybody a very happy and prosperous CNY of the ox .Looking forwards to see the pictures.

Here's the update (without the pics...)

17th Jan - a bunch of MyKlang forumers gathered for our annual year-end dinner in Restaurant Perlama. Members attended include : Gneleey, prof_bobo, siao kia, aircraft, KlgGaro, Klangoldman, incredible, AlexHang, Yuki, BornInKlang, kingLee, the Kops, hui yin, Bingo + wife, Kimmy+Julie(hehe.i finally know her name!) + baby jonathan, Blackevilz, kiankheong, Lim Lip Suan, Lee Hong Keow, Billzanger and Cindy. Members started to arrive in the restaurant as early as 7pm..bobo and black were the first 2 to arrive(clap2...for being punctual...), followed by aircraft and myself. The rest slowly arrived. We're happy that so many members could make it that nite. So our 8-course dinner started off with the yee sang, where we all mixed with well wishers for the coming new year.Then came the steamed lala, followed by the assam fish. Next came the mixed fried vege, then Thai chicken, double Prawn happiness, Mantis prawn and lastly Sweet sour crab + Mantou. Dessert was on the house. We added an extra dessert, which is a cake where we took the chance to celebrate those who had their birthdays on January,namely Garo, KOM and also our dear MyKlang.com forum. FYI, the cake was White Chocolate with Macadamia...available in Secret Recipe.

The night did not end there, some forumers adjourned to Green Box for karaoke session. The karaoke session started from 11 till 3am. Skrye and Sk-k decided to join us for the karaoke session after dinner. So we sang away till the wee hours

This part of the post is to thank everyone that was able to make it for the dinner. A big thank you for the organisers, those that took the effort to order, organise and get everyone together for this event. To the newcomers, you're always welcomed to join us for other MyKlang activities. kingLee, it was a pleasure to meet you and your kids. looking forward for more of your participation in the forum. Probably can share with us how Klang was like back in the golden days. Bill and Cindy, welcome to Klang, hope you have a good stay here and do join us if you happen to be free from your busy schedule! Bingo, tell your wife it's nice to meet her too!Lip Suan, thanks for joining us although you had 2 more events to attend to. To the photographers(that will be posting up pics...)thank you!
