Microsoft Vista SP1 RC arriving next week
Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Vista is coming soon. This morning, I've received the information that Microsoft Vista SP1 release will be shipped together with Microsoft Server 2008. As for me, I'm no where near using Microsoft Vista just as yet. Microsoft Windows XP is just nice for me to do my work right now.
What do you think? Should you upgrade to Microsoft Vista just for the sake of the simplicity in system management and nice interfaces?

Vista has more security control mechanism compare to Windows XP. That comes with some performance issue. You've got to have more powerful machine in order to use M$ Vista.

I've installed Vista SP1 and uninstalled it. Most of my devices cease to work after installing Vista SP1. Sad

RE: Microsoft Vista SP1 RC arriving next week
Heard a lot of 'horror' experiences similar to Kimmy's. Personally I would not do the switch; especially not on my current machines which do not have the capacity/requirements to run Vista efficiently.

Pretty happy with XP at the moment; and no compelling reasons to switch.

RE: Microsoft Vista SP1 RC arriving next week
few months ago bought a compac notebook from a IT dealer friend... the notebook was a vista version but my friend changed it to XP.. due to that, some drivers were unable to work properly eg.. the mic and the speaker.. i get him to change the notebook.. and he changed it for we saying that this is a newer version that can support XP.. but, compared to the previous one, this does not have a build in camera like previous one, no bluetooth and worse of all the speaker sometimes cracks wen u listens to songs... do u think i should change it back to the old one and installed it under vista??
