KURAUKING Wrote:Alex, in business, cutting price is not a healthy move. Instead of under cutting price, you might want to opt for buy 1 free 2 technique or giving extra after sales service to yr customer, now that's healthy competition. The only person that will benefit from ppl who undercuts price is your supplier/manufacturer.........Tongue

true, true.. this one jz an example only mah... another way would be to charge higher price... (actually this is more of a psychology strategy where more expensive is always better... apply to many malaysian as this is how they think...) hahaha...

RE: Master Program
You can oni do that if you are the sole distributor in the country or your customer will oni come and buy once from you nia. They will neva return again to do business with you if they find out the actual market price for the item you sold to them. That is oso not a healthy move in any business.....Tongue

Dammit, i must really charge you for teaching you all tis liaw.....hahahahaa..........Tongue

RE: Master Program
business nowadays is based more on providing value-added service in getting more new customers as well as maintaining existing customers. reasonably good eg. as shown by hypermarts such as Giant, Tesco, Carrefour, etc. but i still dun get it why some are still resorting to mark-up and discount(such as 15%-70%) in attracting customers whereby in actual there's no discount or maybe oni 10% discount. Few years ago, we used to hv M'sia Megasale in every 3 mths and personally, i think it was a flop.

RE: Master Program
Wooooo lifecode, you'll be surprise that how many Malaysian look at the discount number instead of the actual cost price. Have you ever encounter yr friend bought something and then tell you he got 35% discount, then you ask him how much is the actual cost, he can't tell you. The best thing is after you explain to these ppl, they still argue with you he got soooooo much discount.......Tongue

RE: Master Program
hehehe KK, so far i hv not encounter frens who says the got big discounts on items they bought but encountered frens who told me that they dun get a good discounts or no discount at all Tongue

guess we always on the look out for prices change/diff...with prices of consumer goods continue to rise, we got to be extra prudent in spending.

RE: Master Program
Akceli lifecode, that's another wrong thinking(i refer it as negative reasoning). We should be thinking of ways on how to beat the cost of living/inflation. We can't really control the world inflation so the next best thing is to be ready for it. For example, M'sia yearly inflation is ><5%, if we can find a source to generate 5% X 'our total spending per year', you have overcome the worries of things being expensive. Things will keep on raising and we can't do anything about it except be ready for it.....Tongue
