RE: Learn swiming
Benefits of swimming excerpt:

1. It fills a wonderful recreational need for individuals and families, from beach and pool fun to water parks.
2. Regular swimming builds endurance, muscle strength and cardio-vascular fitness.
3. Swimming does burn calories at a rate of about 3 calories a mile per pound of bodyweight. If you weigh 150 lbs. and it takes you 30 minutes to swim one mile (1,760 yards or 1,609 meters), then you will be using about 900 calories in one hour.
4. Spending time in a group workout, whether water aerobics or a master's swim practice, is a great social outlet. Exchanging stories, challenging each other, and sharing in the hard work make swimming with others a rewarding experience.
5. Many swimmers find an in-direct benefit form swimming. They develop life skills such as sportsmanship, time-management, self-discipline, goal-setting, and an increased sense of self-worth through their participation in the sport.
6. The next time you go on StarCruise, you dont have to worry if it sinks like Titanic.

All (except point 6) taken from:
http://swimming.about.com/od/swimworkout...enefit.htm

Get all that for RM90 a month, plus get to meet new friends. Its a fantastic deal.

RE: Learn swiming
between 1 to 3 months...

- basically the important thing is learning to float. Tis can be achieved in 1-2 days (or less).
- after tat learn techniques with ur hands n legs to move ur body in water. (frog, freestyle etc)
- then how to synchronize u breathing while moving in water (not breathe in water)

Aftr tat is how often u practice lor.

The price quoted is for non-member and group session. If member, will be cheaper.
