1. Air Filter (Drop in less performance, Open pod better but more dust go in)
2. Exhaust (If air filter change to open pod then best do this also)
3. Spark Plugs (If brand new no need to change)
4. Spark Cable (If brand new oso no need to change)
5. Grounding (Can notice car rev up faster, cd player less dim dim when blast)
6. Voltage Stabilizer. (Helps to supply power when current draw is over limit)

Suspension, spring, tyres, rims, helps when drivin fast and goin in fast corners. But since kelisa is small, do watch out when big car overtake us, our car will feel "force" and might lose control. Kelisa maybe less obvious, but kenari can see big difference as these cars are taller.

Other more costly stuff like air fuel controller, piggyback for ecu, racing cams, or stand alone chip best is dont play if just mod for n/a. Unless u got other bigger cars and just curious how much difference these gadgets will improve your car performance then can play play provided u diy or your installer charge u cheap cheap.

Kelisa and kenari same engine rite ? So I can kepo kepo abit rite ? G-happy01

Open Pod is good but lack of power during low range rpm n the good things is that it improve from mid to high rpm range n the sounds from open pod will get louder.

Hear that a lot of ppl say that open pod is suitable for manual n drop in for auto.

Change exhuast also a good thing to earn few ponnies of power but a wrong setup will cost a blunder.

For piggback n aftermarket ecu will cost at least RM1K above for piggback n standalone ecu will cost between 2k to 5k if not mistaken

Well the cheapest and most effective is an engine transplant, L9 Turbo 660CC or the K3VET 1300CC Turbo. L9 is cheaper around 3-4k for halfcut while for the K3VET it will be around 6.5K - 7.5K for a decent halfcut and around 1-2K for instalation and stuff. And if u get buyer for your old 1000 cc engine at a reasonable price then it will help ease the total amount to spend for the whole ordeal. Adding go fast bits wont really make the difference and if done in a wrong way might even make your car perform worst.

I believe alot of people wont go the engine transplant route coz our engine is already 1000 cc altho N/A it's still quite good. While the turbo 660cc is slightly more powerfull but if the turbo is not spooling it feels even slower than our 1000cc N/A engine. The biggest difference is "IF" we transplant to a 1300cc Turbo coz it has DVVT or VVTI or so called V-TEC or Mivec techie which makes this engine perform like a MYVI or avanza engine when turbo is not spooling up prolly during the < 3000rpm range and once above 3000 rpm the turbo will be spooling and producing even more power. Btw, I saw a few MYVI turbo around Bkt. Tinggi G-love-01

RE: Kelisa/Kenari Center: Engineered For Fun
I drive a Kelisa. Been 2 years. So far so good. No major problem yet except a puncture tyre. Otherwise, I've no complaint. Happy with my Kelisa.

Two years have passed
The day you came into my life
How my heart fluttered
Seeing you in front of me
couldn't take my eyes off you
I asked, was that really you?

It's been 2 years
And you are still with me
Still strong and faithful
You have ummmphh

Anywhere I go
You are there with me
I say go here and go there
You say yes ma'am

Oh my beloved Kelisa
My new car
Can't live without you
You always serve me well

I'm open minded but not so open that my brains fall out.

As the name implies halfcut means it's either accident at rear then they cut it and declare as scrap to be sold in Malaysia from Japan. If u wanna get brand new engine only way is to get direct from Daihatsu by ordering the engine and stuff. Another way is to get the halfcut with the lowest mileage u can get and do all the needed service after transplant. G-love-01

I remember a friend blow his original perodua engine and was quoted 8k for a new 1000cc engine. Others like flood and stuff also have to change engine and price for original are around 8k - 10k++ which some workshop even dare to put in used engine. Only way to know is unless we always visit the workshop or go back to the service centre, but even so, how can we know if they are installin a brand new engine from factory unless it comes in a nicely packed sealed box with security stickers all around. G-love-01

Basic like engine oil colour, compression test, and if u installed the engine, dyno test and compare to factory specs.

Nowadays with lots of helps from different forums usually it's not really hard to find a good performing halfcut but whether we got the money to do it or not. G-love-01

Btw our 1000cc dohc injection engine is quite sourced by kancil owners as it's one of the most reliable and powerfull engine but I was only quoted for Rm 1500 by a buyer when I was shopping around halfcut shops at Kapar.

How much does Kelisa Clutch and pressure plate will cost for a brand new one?

I spend RM650 to:
1. Replace Clutch plate
2. Replace pressure plate
3. Replace bearing
4. Replace gear oil

The car drive superbly now and want to check if this price is reasonable.
Btw, this cost inclusive labor.

/spidey.
