wlmak Wrote:switch fund or buy new units all need to pay fees and also annual admin charges, won't that will lower down your ROI? wlmak, Yes, as an investor we pay service charge when we buy units and these fees is to pay for professional fund manager who help you to manage your funds. I believe any service we go for, we need to pay for service charge. Even if we invest in stock market , we charge a certain percentage when we go in and out of the market. Switching also incurred charges of RM 25 per transaction if your total invetsment is less than RM 100,000. If you investment is more than RM 100,000 switching cost is FREE. All these cost will not affect your ROI much if you invest at least 3 years. Thats one of the reason i emphasize that in order to see GOOD returns , investment in funds must be at least 3-5 years. |

RE: Interested to invest but do not know how and who to turn to?
Well sherene, UT to me is kinna like chips on stock market. I sometimes buy UT during pre launch and sell them once the price go to a price that i am comfortable with after launching getting something like 3%-5% within the first 6-12 month. This way lesser risk with higher return within a short period.

Zidano Wrote:Thanks Shereen, Dear Zidano, im sure you understand that in every investment there is risk, there is nothing known as guarantee that you wont lose your principal. As i said, depending on your agent's agency strategy on how to manage your funds so that your loses are minimised and still ensure your capital is preserved. Zidano, if you are still open to invest further and grow your investment or perhaps still open to options available to see your investment grow to your expectation, do contact me/ provide me an opportunity to show you my strategy in managing my clients & my own fund. Definitely no obligations, i assure you. I believe people will only park their investment with me if they feel secured, comfortable and confident with the strategy i use. |

Im sure if you know the method where you can earn more than 5% , you wouldn't sell it out so fast right. After all we are all investing to ensure the money work harder for us. Anyway, appreciate your sharing ![]() btw, interested to invest with me? |

In fact, another point is that Unit Trust can be also made as a platform for your to invest as a form of diversification rather than to fully concentrate on stock market alone. May be once you sit down it may even crop to your mind whether do you really earn from stock market ?
It is also a platform for those who have in mind that they would like to grow their money further rather than hoping every year that the FD rates will increase. |

RE: Interested to invest but do not know how and who to turn to?
I guess it is best to have a financial plan (and I don't mean that one created by your insurance / unit trust agent).
In our capitalist society today, there is a lot of pressure to survive or succeed financially. In fact, financial issues affect just about every other aspect of our lives, and is one of the main cause of tensions and conflict. Investment is only one portion of financial planning:
Maybe you can get a clearer overview here: ![]() I am only half-pail-water when it comes to personal finance, just speaking from a CFP course I attended. There is a good explanation in slidepack format at Slideshare http://hanxue.blogspot.com http://hanxuesbizblog.blogspot.com http://hanxue-it.blogspot.com |
