they are dumb to throttle actually...if they dun throttle... i would not on my pc for so long..thus using less bandwidth.. and once i finish downloading everything there is...i wont be using the line so much. logical rite? faster finish ...then off la... just like highways... all we want is to get on and off ASAP..reducing accidents and mortality time on the roads...

RE: HSBB
TM's unifi prices leak into Twitter..

Quote:“Confirmed prices for HSBB #UNIFI: 5mbps rm149, 10mbps rm199 abd 20Mbps rm249. Expect similar upload speed unlike HSDPA."

Telekom did not disclose prices at last night’s launch but will only do so at a press conference this afternoon. However, many people could not wait and have tweeted “confirmed” prices of RM149 for the 5Mbps package, RM199 for 10Mbps and RM249 for RM20 Mbps.

Possible usage caps, a concept unpopular with power users but typically imposed by service providers to deter excessive file sharing of movies, were also discussed on twitter, with some claiming that the 5Mbps package will have a usage cap of 60Gb, the 10Mbps package to be capped at 80Gb and 20Mbps at 120Gb.

The three UniFi packages launched last night come bundled with IP video (IPTV) and IP telephony. The IPTV, which features 22 channels and video-on-demand, will be delivered via a separate dedicated 8Mbps connection.

Still impose usage caps? That sucks!

RE: HSBB
packages are out

http://www.unifi.my/unifi/index.php?opti...Itemid=206

rm149 5mbps 60gb a month
rm199 10mbps 90gb a month
rm249 20mbps 120gb a month

UniFi is currently available at selected premises within the following areas:
Bangsar
Taman Tun Dr. Ismail
Subang Jaya
Shah Alam

it comes with a dect phone, settop box for tv and wireless N router.

if its just surfing, 60gb is sufficient. but for set top boxes..hopefully is not included in the 60gb volume cap.if not, one night u leave ur tv on,,, then next day quota finishedTongue

if u use more than the monthly volume..ur speed reduces by 90% to just 10% meaning if 5mbps..then u get only 0.5mbps.

worth it?

RE: HSBB
quite tempting.. but the TV channels quite limited and doesn't include HD. Can we choose our own channels or package to subscribe? maybe we can finally say bye bye to cut throat astro then..hahaha
