The Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (TAR) Hospital, also known as Klang General Hospital or Klang GH is a go~ment tertiary hospital located in Klang South in the Klang District, Selangor. This hospital provides primary and selected national tertiary care services. The hospital began operations in 1985 and is located not far from Istana Alam Shah. It was named after the consort of Sultan Salahuddin, Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.

The Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (TAR) Hospital is a 28-ward go~ment hospital with over 800 inpatient beds and 20 clinical disciplines. The Klang TAR Hospital is also a referral hospital for many district hospitals and health clinics ranging from Kuala Langat in the south up to Kuala Selangor in the north.

This hospital also focuses on ambulatory care service and is equipped with a helipad for emergency evacuation purposes. Furthermore, the Klang TAR Hospital also houses the in-situ medical teaching facility for the medical students of the University of Malaya.


Getting There

• From the Federal / North-South Highway, head towards the Klang town. Follow the TAR Hospital signboard in the town centre and head towards the Banting / KESAS highway direction. You will find the hospital on your right along Jalan Langat.
• From Kapar / Kuala Selangor, head towards the Klang town. Follow the TAR Hospital signboard in the town centre and head towards the Banting / KESAS highway direction. You will find the hospital on your right along Jalan Langat.
• From the KESAS highway, exit at the Pandamaran interchange. Head towards the direction to the Klang town. You will see TESCO on your left. Keep straight on the same road until you see the hospital on your left.
