High Accident Rate

Hi all,

I've been living in Tmn Klang Jaya for the past 20+ years and from all these years, what is the most devastating is the accident rate here along the main road. Jalan Serunai 1.

Today at 10:30pm, another accident occurred. This time involving a motorist and a car. The motorist has been sent to the hospital with the ambulance.

Below is the few locations which is accident-prone:

Area 1: This junction is poorly lit and accident prone due to cars turning in and out. Last year there was another serious accident where 2 cars knocked head-on.

Area 2: This junction right after the big monsoon drain if you're coming from Bkt Tinggi is also another accident prone area. So far, accidents that I witnessed at this area is still minor, yet, there's still lots of cases of accidents here.

Area 3: Somewhere near the Area 2, but this is the inner road. Due to poor fencing/signage/lighting, there are lots cars going at high speed on this road and ended up in the monsoon drain! Last year, I witnessed a car which went straight into the drain when it was raining really heavy with the water from the drain overflowing. Thank goodness he was smart enough to climb out before his car sank in. My neighbours helped him out. And that was not the first case, there has been many.

With these areas identified, i'm asking if there's anything that the authorities can do to help? Especially in reducing the number of accidents in this area. i noticed the increase in number of cars utilising this road, therefore it's best to prevent further accidents from happening.

The problem in this place was the intersection, according to the map. It might to think that intersection are familiar to a car accident. When we taken for idea that some intersection need a sign to the car to be slow down and they need a traffic enforcement in that place to avoid accident.seo services

Well, since that posting, a lot more accidents had happened in the same area. One directly in front of my house at about 1 something into the wee hours. So my advice for motorist commuting this road to be extra careful, go slow and don't attempt to overtake cars...it does pay to be patient.
