Disclaimer:
One more thing that u should beware about credit card with free waiver... the marketeer always fails to HIGHLIGHT that u need to use 24 times or a certain amount of money. Check that before signing up.

peki,
i dun have a lot of money...but crazy citibank sent me AirAsia Citibank card this week without me applying!!

i was shocked to see the credit card arrived in my house without any application or earlier notification from the bank.

upon checking with citibank, they said it is "pre-approved offer with 1 year annual fee waiver" G-bang-bang-03 G-throw-stone-01

RE: Credit Cardssss
i can understand what problem u face cklam. Suggestion - have 2 different cards :
1 is used for all auto-debit ONLY - keep it at home.
Another, u use for retail purchase (e.g. fuel, food & shopping)

That way, if u lost your card, the auto-debit one is still safe (u don't carry ma).

Anyway, I'm not a fan of auto-debit. Years ago, when handphone can be easily clone, i heard about a friend's friend ('s friend's ...) whos hp got cloned and he owed thousands to the bank because of the auto-debit. Althou not his fault, but he was liable for the $ owed to the bank. Very very susah.

Users of credit card, if you have not been reading news lately, please be aware that you must settle in full before the due date. If not, you will not enjoy the 20days interest free period!! The interest can be a bomb! Imagine today you pump RM100 petrol and interest starts tomorrow...

Also remember that if you settle by due date, your credit card interest rate will fall, from 18%, up to 15% (with t&c) per annum.

With these rulling, it is making life harder for those who owe $ to the cards.

Important rule : DO NOT ACCUMULATE CREDIT CARD DEBT!!!!

RE: Credit Cardssss
Now banks even offering you soft loans to settle credit cards bill or whatever expenses. I always had call from my current credit card offering me money. That' u got to be very careful. I heard from a friend of mine that receive a RM5k cheque (which if u bank in, means that u are taking up the loan). So the joker just left it on the table and the mom happens to see it and bank it in for it. Buta buta kena pay an additional 11% interest for not even using it.
