Birth of Hummingbird
This is really a great site: The photos are fantastic. This is truly amazing. Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. Don't miss the last photos where the size of the nest is compared to other items. You'll probably never in your lifetime see this again, enjoy; and please share.

Simple but yet nicely depicting the newborns. Like you mentioned, the last pic which compared the nest with the items is surprising.

Why I won't use FREE WIFI?

RE: Birth of Hummingbird
Hi Happy Feet,

Nice sequential pictures on the humming bird. Was this pictures taken here locally?

As a birder too, our home is a home to 3 Klang birds.

The Orienatal Magpie Robbin (nesting and hatching this month), the Peaceful dove (already hatch 2 babes) and the Olive backe Sunbird.
We have also posted the 'egg to flight' story on our Magpies at Birds Talking last month.
As for sunbirds, it is the Asiatic's closest-it-can-get version of the Hummingbird. Sadly, Hummingbird are not found in Asia

Wanted to get some members from Klang to join us for Birding, together with our MNS (Malaysian Nature Soceity) members in preparation for the 2008 International Bird Race at Fraser's Hill next month. Anyone interested?
FYI, the header picture on my blog site now feature Malaysian Bird Species. The first one was the Brown Wood Owl, found behind our home for the last 2 month and now, the Crested Serpent Eagle, residing very near our house.

Cheers and Regards
Donald G.H Tan

RE: Birth of Hummingbird
donaldtan, at the end of the pics, they took a penny to do the comparison, so i don't think it's local. what's your blog address anyway? want to know more about the birds you were mentioning.

Hi Donald,
Nice to hear from you.

The link was sent by a US fren; and I have a hunch they are not from Malaysia.

is there any special requirements to join the 'Birding' you mentioned?

BTW...what is your blogsite? Apologies..I know it is on your namecard but I have kilometres away from home now.....

Best regards
HF
