Not too sure, but very tempted.
Reason why not too sure:
- GPS built-in. Not so keen having this as part of the phone. This means you'll have to expose you phone to sunlight (GPS units after all needs to triangulate with the satellites in the sky). Furthermore GPS hardware is a battery guzzler.
- 2.0 firmware is also available for current gen iPhones via iTunes update.
- No hardware changes other than longer battery life.
- 3G. If in another country other than Malaysia, this might be a plus. BUT telco charges for 3G is blady expensive.

Billz, you got an iPhone now, or you're planning to get a 3G version?

You DO know that even 3G version is country locked and Malaysia is not in the 70+ countries list. Therefore, even if you get one come July 11th, you cannot use it in Malaysia until a crack for firmware 2.0 is available.

If you already have an iPhone now, you can upgrade you firmware to 2.0 once its out via iTunes. You still have to wait for the crack of course.

Met a girl who is using iphone. She says it's not friendly if u sms a lot. If u r used to pda's, palms, etc. then should be no problem. But regular user may find it hard to text.

And the large screen is just so cool!

If you don't spell out your words and like to use cryptic words in your sms then iphone sms is just not fun. It has a very good predictive text dictionary that help heaps. Unfortunately it will try impede you when you go "Alo I kn u".

ya . ia m using 1 now .. but after release of the 3 G see how is it first .. once can get cracked then only take lor.. haha .. nothing much different also .. just an GPS an HSPDA speed only ..

kn = ? (the only translation i can think of is in hokkien and it doesn't sound nice!)
