Car Wash
Watch out for this type of potential car loss situation too: When you send your car for washing/service, make sure you are around.

From: esther

This is a real story, my friend, Benny told me this afternoon, & I would like to share with all of you. Be careful, if u hv the habit of sending yr car for car wash while in shopping complex...

2 weeks ago, Benny's brother in law, sent his Toyota Harrier for car wash in the car park of Bangsar Shopping Complex while he had an appointment there. He handed the car keys to the car wash people n left the car park for his appointment.

After the appointment he went to collect his car, & the car wash people told him that his car had been collected. How CAN??? After a prolonged argument without any results, he had no choice, but to make a police report... n follow up by insurance claim...

Insurance company rejected his claim 'cos the reason is the car was not stolen, the point of contention was was why did he hand over the car keys to someone unknown, n why did he not wait there till the car washing finished...???

So, be careful next time. If u really need to send yr car for car wash, better stay there and wait for yr car, if not, this may happen to you...don't play a fool...!!!

RE: Alert of robbery
hmm that's strange..i tot usually when a person send their car wash at the malls....they would usually be given a receipt...which they have to return to get the keys back to their car when done....

so how can the car wash fella actually let someone else pick up the car instead...??

cars are getting missing from 1U as well as some high end condos in Mutiara Damansara too....
mostly subarus...
